The quest ends as soon as you approach David Aslanov. If he is standing close to Michael Wiles, you might never even notice you actually had the quest. David will then have two Main Story topics for you. "What's the Pujan society like?" will lead to the History of the Puja. Also, Tank Parson will have a side quest for you now.
